Jerseys:

We have passed the cutoff for jersey orders. You can still order however, they will be shipped after the event.

Squadding will be done by us.

600 rounds should get you through the training and match. You will be able to purchase ammo from the SIG Academy pro shop.

There are four courses for everyone to take. You will be broken up by ability so that the instructors can provide the best training to each group.

The classes will be:

-Stop the Bleed (everyone will take the refresher, you may need some of this knowledge during the match.)
-Draw and first shot
-Transitions
-Moving targets.

New participants will have one of these substituted with the basic pistol course. These are topics that everyone can improve on regardless of skill level.

Please understand that the stop the bleed course may have images that are unsettling for some people.

A reminder that we will be charging for caregiver meals this year due to rising costs and reduced sponsorship due to a downturn in the industry. The cost will be $5 breakfast and lunch (coffee is free for all) and $10 for dinner.

Please email us if you are bringing your caregiver, even if you’ve already done so. This will allow me to give the most accurate number for catering.

Recruiting; numbers are a little lower this year than in previous years. Please do what you can locally to spread the word and bring new shooters into ADSS. Please spread the word to your local organizations and sports leagues. We do have access to firearms to loan so they don’t need gear.

In regards to firearms available for loan, you need a pistol, magazines (at least 3, more is preferable) and a holster for the event. IF YOU DON”T HAVE THESE ITEMS YOU NEED TO LET US KNOW NOW SO THAT WE’RE NOT SCROUNGING FOR GEAR WHEN WE SHOULD BE TRAINING.

When you arrive at the academy, please do not handle firearms until directed to do so. If you carry concealed, that firearm needs to stay concealed throughout the course of the day, Firearms handling in unauthorized areas will lead to your being asked to leave.

If you’re bringing a service dog please read our animal policy linked below. Also, please remember, service dogs are welcome, pets are not.:

The SIG Sauer Academy Pro Shop is offering us a discount on everything in the pro shop EXCEPT ammunition. We believe they’re offering 20% so if you want/need to purchase equipment, this may be your opportunity to get the products you want at a discounted price from our biggest supporter. We will give you more during the event.

We look forward to seeing everyone!

Regards,
